Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between UAW Local 12 – Lucas County Dispatch Unit and the Lucas County Regional Council of Governments (RCOG) establishes the wages, hours, and working conditions for bargaining-unit employees.
This agreement is the result of collective bargaining and represents the legally binding rights, protections, and obligations for both employees and the employer.
What the CBA Covers
The CBA governs, among other things:
- Wages, step increases, and premium pay
- Hours of work, scheduling, and overtime
- Leave provisions (vacation, sick, personal, holiday, and other leaves)
- Staffing, assignments, and posting of positions
- Discipline and just-cause protections
- Grievance and arbitration procedures
- Union rights and representation
- Health insurance, retirement, and other benefits
- Safety, training, and workplace standards
Current Agreement
The current Collective Bargaining Agreement is in effect for the negotiated term and remains the controlling document for all employment matters covered under the contract.
Members are encouraged to review the agreement in full and become familiar with their contractual rights and responsibilities.
Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs)
From time to time, the Union and the Employer may enter into Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) that clarify, modify, or temporarily address specific issues. MOUs are considered part of the overall labor agreement and are enforceable unless otherwise stated.
